Don't ask me how I found this family and their amazing house; I can't remember... but here's the link.
They built their hobbit cottage themselves and I think it is the coolest thing I have ever seen. I really do.
They even have a composting toilet which has always been my secret desire... no, it really has.
Ah, well. One can dream, right. Maybe in heaven.

OMG! yes, I want a composting toilet too! seriously. i knew we were kindred spirits. :) i could so see you living in that house. :) you and muffin in matching aprons too. :)
of course I taught her blue steele... you have to teach them early you know...
