and the hubby of the year award goes to...

yes, mine. of course.

I mentioned that for my birthday/mother's day my sweet Braj and his parents got me a massage at Brownes. Well, that just doesn't explain it very well. Allow me...

On Saturday, while Acacia napped and Brandon watched to newest Rambo, I snuck out for my massage. Just walking into Brownes is relaxing for me. The smell of all the high quality aromatherapy spa products is enough to make you shell out whatever it costs to spend some more time there. I headed upstairs to the spa and someone came to escort me through the "Spa Guests Only" door and into another world. I had my own dressing room/spa bathroom to change into my robe and flip flops.

Then I headed into the waiting room where I enjoyed a cup of hot herbal tea and a good magazine while continuing to soak in the aromatherapy and soft music in the background. When my therapist, Petra, came to get me I told her I felt like I already had a massage, I was so relaxed. Just those few minutes of quiet... man it was nice.

I'm glad I got up to go with her into the treatment room, though, because I got a 50 minute Cranial Sacral massage. Yes, for almost an hour she rubbed my neck and head, just where I seem to hold my stress. It was incredible. After she left, I laid on the bed/table for another 15 minutes, just soaking it all in. I finally made my way across the hallway back to my bathroom and took a long, warm spa shower with all the Molton Brown products they had in there.
So, that's what I did Saturday. Now I see why people do that as a regular part of their week and even renovate their home bathrooms into spa-style retreats. It was so nice! I couldn't help but think while I was there about the passage in Hebrews 4 where it says:
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest.

As incredible as my Saturday treatment was, it is only the tiniest taste of what awaits us in heaven. I'll be making every effort to enter into that rest!!

We pile up Hilton Points so that we can stay at their "Conrad" brand hotels when we go to big cities because Conrad Hotels give you Molton Brown Shampoo and Conditioner.

You can bet my husband loots the service cart when the maids are dumb enough to leave them unattended in the hallways.
