a hit and a miss

hit:
we scored a Dyson D14 for FREE from Braj's work. It was "broken" (missing a $9 tube that I just ordered online). This is such a score, it makes up for...

miss:
the world's lamest garage sale!
$10 permit
+ miscellaneous supplies like posters, stickers, and markers
+ the hassle of dragging my poor kids to Wal-mart and the town hall
+ the hottest and most humid day of the year so far
= maybe 7 or 8 customers and I think we made $20. Just before the afternoon rain came I gave most of what was left to a Hatian woman for $3. At least it's over.

Great idea Dave Ramsey... thanks alot! You can keep your Financial Peace University, I'll keep my sanity thank you very much!

Hey Shannon, I've been thinking of you lately I hope your doing well. I was in a cute little store the other day and I saw some clothes for Acacia. Totally stuff you'd put on her. One of the brands was mimi and Maggie and I cant remember the other brand. I'll have to go back and look again.
Love you, Let me know if your visiting Colorado anytime this summer.

Oh man. I know. We are taking Financial Peace right now.
I love the idea of having a garage sale but I dread all the work to make JUST enough to pay for my newspaper classified ad.
Perhaps I should gather up all my stuff and give it away and trust that the Lord will blesseth me ten fold.

Yes, do it Nik. Give it away. Let it go.
