If you want something different to do before it gets too terribly hot, here it is- explore the shaded paths of Arch Creek Park (next to the horse park on 135th) and have a picnic lunch under the thatched roof shelter. Then head to the new gulfstream park village, just north of aventura mall on biscayne, for a FREE horse and carriage ride! The rides are only available during the month of May on Saturdays and Sundays from 4 until 10pm. It was about 15 minutes or so, just around the park. Both kids loved the carriage ride and there was plenty of room for at least another 3 people if you have guests.
