The trip to Peru was fantastic. The kids did super great and the team was incredible. We did not use any of the sleeping bag solutions. It was a little chilly at night, so Braj and Acacia cuddled in the top bunk and Jack and I got the bottom bunk. Nobody fell out of bed, it was much cozier than a cold floor, and the kids felt safe having us close by. A very, very smart purchase was a Marsona international travel sound machine. No batteries to replace, it comes with an adapter and is very small. It drained out the wild Lima traffic quite well. We got ours here.
The team:
The town of Santa Rosa, the outskirts of Lima:
Jackson helping sweep:
Acacia passed out stickers saying, "Cristo te ama!"
After being separated to invite local kids to our Bible class, they ran to each other and hugged. Awwwwwwwwwwww.
Acacia, deep in thought. "How does this fit into my reality back home?" How does it?!
Ahhhhhh, Inca Kola and anticuchos!
We took a red eye flight from Lima back to Miami and arrived at about 5 am. The kids and I left for Colorado the next morning. I have over 700 pictures from Colorado. It was a great vacation. I'll be posting them later this week. Stay tuned!

You went on a mission trip with the kiddos! You are my inspiration. I miss mission trips and I was feeling like those days were over--well, maybe not! I would love to introduce the kiddos to my Panamanian family one day!
love you,
